MPAI Grant - Still Opportunities to Get Involved
We wanted to share an exciting news story about the rootEd model and the Missouri Postsecondary Advising Initiative (MPAI) in action!
Earlier this week, rootEd advisor Joseph Beachner from McDonald County High School hosted Senior Day–Adulting 101. Students could choose from 11 different sessions, ranging from Completing the FAFSA to Registering to Vote. A local news station highlighted Mr. Beachner and Senior Day, found here.
Despite being at McDonald County High School for fewer than three months, Mr. Beachner has already experienced “students chasing him down the hall for help.” There is still an opportunity for additional schools to become part of the rootEd community! This short grant application is live, and eligible school systems are urged to apply.
More information about MPAI and rootEd’s partnership with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is available on the MPAI homepage.
Thank you,
