Missouri State University - Center for Rural Education
The Missouri State University Center for Rural Education serves as a hub to organize and promote rural school outreach and partnerships. The Center aims to develop and sustain school and community partnerships, establish a teacher pipeline, and retain and support rural teachers.
The Center for Rural Education currently provides the following opportunities:
- For Students:
- A student organization for students from rural areas, or who plan to teach in a rural school
- Connections with supportive faculty
- Networking with educators across Missouri
- Connections to scholarship opportunities
- For Current Educators:
- Support in applying for relevant grants
- Developing effective “grow your own” programs
- Professional development opportunities
- Potential dual credit opportunities and teacher preparation courses
