Lynnlee Parrott - 2018 American Fidelity Assurance Scholarship Recipient
Launch the media gallery 1 playerLynnlee Parrott is a graduate of Sherwood High School in Creighton, Missouri. She has been a student at Northwest Missouri State University, in Maryville, but she is transferring to Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri working on a major in K-12 Physical Education with minors in Health Education and Coaching.
Lynnlee shares that she wants to be one of those teachers that students come back to visit. She wants to know how her former students are doing and plans to serve as a mentor to them just as many of her teachers have been to her. She is aware of the many hats that she will have to wear in a rural setting, but she is prepared to accept the challenge intent on making a difference in the lives of her students, while they are making a difference in her life as well.
One of her college professors shares that there is a definite need for people like Lynnlee in academia. He is convinced that she will become a strong and compassionate teacher.
