Rural Senior High Student
RILEIGH GRUNDEN
A student of high standards, an achiever of academics, extra-curricular activities, school organizations and especially in life is Rileigh Grunden, currently a member of the Senior Class at Cole Camp High School, Cole Camp, Missouri.
A member of the school staff shares her impression of Rileigh. “ Rileigh stands out in many ways and in many organizations. I have witnessed her hard work and how Rileigh’s motivation and excitement encourages other students to work harder to reach their goals.”
Rileigh’s involvement in school activities is impressive. She makes sure she is involved in something by the season and in some activities all year long. Rileigh is very comfortable taking the lead and getting students to work together towards the common goal. Her combination of followership skills and leadership skills makes her an invaluable member of anything she is involved in.
One of Rileigh’s great qualities is dependability. This is evident in her 98.19% attendance. When she commits to an activity or sport she is the most dependable student that you can always count on. She brings strong academic habits to whatever she is doing which is evident by her 3.78 GPA.
Very few Cole Camp students have the honor of being a three year member of the National Honor Society. Rileigh’s leadership is demonstrated in her selection by her peers as her junior and senior class vice president. Most recently she demonstrated her leadership and service skills by attending Girl’s State. One event that really sets Rileigh apart is her involvement in FBLA. As a testament to Rileigh’s hard work and team involvement, she and two other FBLA members worked to create an animated video and presentation for State competition. After of months of hard work and anticipation, they were selected as Missouri State Champions. Being awarded the opportunity to take the project to national competition in Chicago, the project was named the National Champion at the National Leadership Conference in Chicago.
Rileigh’s qualities and list of achievements, her great enthusiasm and commitment to her past projects and goals she has for the future, makes her most deserving as Missouri’s Outstanding Rural Secondary Student for the 2015-2016 school year.
