MARE Executive Board News
The Missouri Association of Rural Education recently recognized both Ken Cook, Superintendent of Malden R-I School District, and Ken Lentz, Malden R-I School District Board Member, for their service on the MARE Executive Board. Ken Cook served as the Region E (Southeast Missouri) Representative from July of 2010 through September of 2018. Ken Lentz joined the Executive Board as a School District Board Member Representative in May of 2014 and served until October of 2018. We greatly appreciate the service that these two gentlemen provided to the organization. Attached is a photo of both gentlemen receiving their plaques at the recent SE MASA meeting held at Dexter Hickory Log on Wednesday, November 7th. MARE Board President, Mr. Darryl Pannier, Superintendent at Nell Holcomb R-IV presented the awards. In other news, MARE welcomes Mr. Terry Hamilton, Superintendent at the North Pemiscot County R-I School District, as the new Region E MARE Board Representative. Mr. Hamilton was appointed by the MARE Board during their regularly scheduled meeting at the MARE/MO K-8 Conference on Thursday, October 18th.
