Lauren Davis - 2018 Missouri Education Health Group Scholarship Recipient
Launch the media gallery 1 playerLauren Davis is a graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School in Jackson, Missouri. She is currently a student at Southeast Missouri State University, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri working on a major in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Biology and a minor in Spanish.
Lauren shares that her journey to becoming a teacher has not been a traditional one, nor is it over. Her experiences have helped her to find the right path and learn how to pursue it. She enjoys watching her students realize that they can do something that did not think they could do before.
One of her college professors shares that Lauren possesses the qualities of confidence, positivity and self-reliance, that are necessary to be successful in a rural setting. He is confident that Lauren will become an excellent teacher and serve her rural students well.
