Tyler Krietemeyer
2015 MEUHP Scholarship recipient
Tyler Krietemeyer of Maywood, Missouri, is a graduate of Palmyra High School in Palmyra, MO. He is currently attending Truman State University –Kirksville, Missouri majoring in History/Secondary Education.
Tyler shares that his connection to rural Missouri runs deep. He grew up on a beef cattle and row crop farm in Northeast Missouri. Growing up on a farm was hard work but the lessons-learned was -- commitment, perseverance, integrity and honesty through many hours of work along-side members of his family. As a future teacher I want to teach at a rural Missouri school because the kids that live in the country or in small towns are some of the most respectful most driven young adults in the world.
A college instructor shares that Tyler’s work is outstanding. His written work is carefully throught out (just like his ideas in class), and he takes the time to be sure that his final products are clear and free of mistakes. He is detail-oriented making sure that the small things are done correctly. This made him stand out early in the course and suggests the organizational skills he will bring to his own classroom.
Growing up in a rural community in Missouri has taught Tyler Krietemeyer the values of hard work, reliability, and accountability making it appropriate to congratulate her as the 2015 MEUHP Scholarship recipient.
